Swim Meet Itinerary
Are you new to the swim team program? Here are some helpful hints and reminders of what to expect!
Helpful Items to Bring:
- Water Bottle
- Extra towel for your child to sit on
- Sweatshirt (sometimes it gets cooler in the evenings and your child will be wet quite a bit of the time!)
- Goggles & Swim Cap (optional)
- Snacks
Meet Time:
- Check bulletin board the day before the meet or the morning of the meet.
- Max of 3 individual events and 2 relays per swimmer
- If in a relay, check for stroke/order as well as which relay (A,B, C, etc.)
- Pack water, snacks & extra towel to sit on
- Write on arm (w/sharpie) event # and event name
- Arrive by 5:15 pm (parking/find team area/check in)
- Warm up starts @ 5:30 pm
- Meet starts at 6:00 pm
- Swimmers stay in team area
- Parents report to volunteer positions after children are checked in to the Clerk of the Course to be assigned heats & lanes
- Races are divided into Novice, Level II and Level A divisions
- After races, swimmers report back to coaches & stay in team area

HOMESTEAD HURRICANES: Start out low to the ground and quiet, then slowly stand up and chant louder while repeating: Homestead Hurricanes couldn’t be prouder, if you can’t hear us we’ll yell a little louder! |
