Volunteer
It takes many people to successfully run an efficient swim meet. Officials, Timers, the Runners, Clerk of the Course...the list of roles and needs is long. While this may seem daunting, please know that swim meets are also a great way to meet new members, help pass the time during a meet while having a bit of fun!
Through volunteering with the swim team, you will get to know the kids and your neighbors and have a ton of fun in the process. So when you're child joins the Hurricanes -- it's also a family commitment.
Volunteer Requirement - During the regular season, we need the help of each family to help make the season a success. This year, each volunteer job will be given a point value that corresponds to the amount of time involved. Each family is expected to volunteer a minimum of 10 points during our regular season.
There are many ways to help. Go to the "Volunteer Job Descriptions" to view all the critical jobs that make our meets run smoothly, as well as jobs that are needed during the season. There is something for everyone so review this list and then go to the Meets Tab to sign up! If you are unable to attend meets due to other commitments/work, feel free to have a family member or whomever is attending with your child fulfill a volunteer position.
